A Pretty Little Child

He wondered and cried
A pretty little child
With misery walking side by side
Filled with pride
A pretty little child

Everyone thrashed him, foul-played him
There was so much of pain
Dry was the land, never got watered
For he never saw the rain

His innocent cries
Everyone heard them
Yet no one had any answers to his question
“What is my fault, what wrong have I done?”

Son of a poor man
But with rich thoughts and mind
He was no lesser than others
No different, yet one of his kind
A pretty little child

What kind of rights are these
That deprives a child to live
Wrapped in rags with no place to hide
A pretty little child
A pretty little child

Rahul, a very nice thought. It is quite unfortunate that such bright kids don't stand a chance to live their dreams. They are constantly pushed down by the society.

It is very nice of you to think and express your sympathies towards them. A very thoughtful theme indeed!!! I appreciate it!!!

The expression, be it a poem or a song is strong, but only at a few places. At a few places, they are comparatively weak. Your selection of words let them down at a few places. However, those words do reflect the truth which is very good. So, you could stick to them if you have no better choice.

But, considering your current calibre, I would suggest you to polish this one. No offence.

And, how many minutes did you take to finish this one? Just curious.

Thank You Ajey. I was actually thinking of writing something on this theme from quite sometime. Finally, came up with this one.
I would further polish it, as suggested by You.

And about the minutes I took, umm, maybe around half 'n hour, hehe..

thank you for the read. :)

Yea, polish it and this will be one of your hits, may be.

Half an hour?! Well, I envy such speed. But, remember, it is not about the speed. The quality of work carries more weight.

Yeah! I am still in a fight with my enemy.
I will surely polish it further..

superb
truly reflects the condition of our society. It is a very sorry state of affair that child labor still prevails n these unfortunate children do not get opportunities to explore themselves, their latent talent.
